A designer between
disciplines and places.

I design across brand, service, and systems — for organizations whose problems don't fit neatly inside a single discipline.
My practice formed between Mexico City — where I trained as a designer — and Oslo, where I completed a master's at OsloMet focused on design for complexity and community co-design. The thesis, a co-designed skatepark with youth in a peri-urban neighbourhood, taught me what most design education does not: that constraints are the brief, and that participation is a method, not a slogan.
I work with studios, agencies, NGOs and small institutions — usually when the question is more interesting than the deliverable. I co-run Loy Studio Lab, a smaller experimental practice focused on systems-adjacent design work.
What I care about: designing with users, testing ideas in context, applying feedback, and delivering tailored, high-quality work that helps clients make a positive impact.

How I work, in four lines.
Legibility before beauty.
Visual quality matters. Comprehension matters more. The discipline is in refusing the false trade-off.
Structure is the argument.
How something is organized signals how it was thought through. Hierarchy is a form of honesty.
Earn every click.
No interaction should be required to understand intent. Decisions are made at the surface, then deepened.
Honest complexity.
The work is rarely simple. The presentation can be. Restraint is a method, not an absence.
